Before planting

  • Allow for several metres of mature height rather than judging a young plant.
  • Avoid prolonged drought, which can cause stress and browning.
  • Do not cut hard into old brown wood because gaps may remain.

  • It provides privacy throughout the year.
  • It naturally keeps a narrow vertical form.
  • It tolerates cold winters well.

Good to know

  • Dense green growth can conceal dry dead material inside the plant, especially in a continuous dry hedge.
