Before planting

  • Install a strong support before planting; mature stems can reach several metres and become heavy.
  • Leave working space for tying and pruning, and keep thorny stems away from narrow paths.

Why choose it

  • Produces pale blush-pink flowers repeatedly through a long season.
  • Covers pergolas, arches and sunny walls with a soft, informal display.

Care

  • Tie new shoots to the support and spread them out to build an even framework.
  • Keep the root zone evenly moist, then mulch to reduce drying.
  • Prune and train it as a climbing rose, removing damaged or poorly placed growth.
